Meet the team
Rachel is Rescue Desk’s founder and fearless leader. She launched the firm in early 2008, and has been helping any small business owner that crosses her path ever since. She thrives on the energy and enthusiasm of our clients, and works hard to surround herself with creativity every day. On her downtime, she can usually be found hiking with her dogs, hiding out at a remote campsite in the Wisconsin north woods, or curled up in her little Sun Prairie house with her husband and any number of animals she fosters for the local humane society.
Catherine, a UW-Madison graduate, is our Project Manager and ensures that our clients’ projects are delivered on time, on budget, and are broken down into manageable phases. Here at the home office, she’s responsible for running the day-to-day Rescue Desk operations, managing our team members and partners, and overseeing our Social Media Maintenance service. She’s also a HUGE U2 fan!
Heather is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and spent 15 years as an administrative and executive assistant before striking out on her own as a virtual assistant. She lives in the Midwest with her husband and 2 rescue dogs, where she spends her limited free time reading, blogging about books, and bingeing on Netflix with a glass of red wine.
Jamie, a UW-Whitewater grad who has her Master’s in Finance, has turned into an unstoppable tech ninja for clients. She loves creating back-end complexities to help ensure smooth automation, newsletters, and handful of other carefully crafted intricacies to make sure a client has as little to do manually as possible! She also enjoys the outdoors, reading, working with her chocolate lab by her side, and being immersed in family life, which includes two kids.
Kristin is our resident graphic design expert, and has been on-call to jump in to help create impactful print and digital pieces for Rescue Desk clients for several years. She has a knack for understanding exactly what clients are looking for when turning their messages into marketing pieces!
Charity has stepped in to help with all sorts of overflow projects that come through our doors. She’s been part of the freelancer team since 2018, and her reliability and quick wit have been a perfect fit for the Rescue Desk culture! Originally from Monroe, WI, she currently lives in Chattanooga, TN with her husband and two young boys.
